DANIELLE won a novice at Wetherby by 12 lengths last time out. She was the odds-on favourite which makes this filly a strong chancer here despite the obvious class rise. Five of the last six winners of this race started at a low class track last time out. Rubies are Red was a non-runner in the Cheshire Oaks in favour of this. She is the next best and could push Danielle hard on good going. She was the beaten favourite in heavy going last time. You can always forgive a beaten favourite in heavy going.
BALLYMOUNT BOY is the top bet in the Greenham Stakes at Newbury. He won as the favourite in a listed company at Doncaster last time and has never run out of the first two below G1 level. The unbeaten ZOOM ZOOM steps up to G3 after his listed level last time but at 15/8 he is on the short side. ARMY ETHOS was the 2/9 beaten favourite last time so 15/2 is a nice odds for him.

The 2000 Guineas at Newmarket will be held May 6th. Here are the current four favourites.
Auguste Rodin (2111) is the current favourite. He won a G1 at Doncaster last time. His three wins were on yielding, soft, and heavy going. His second was on good going and that was against maidens. Unless he gets some sting out of the track he may be vulnerable.
Little Big Bear(21111) another G1 winner from last season. That came at The Curragh. His last three wins were on good to fast going. Little Big Bear has never won past 6f so that is a concern for backers.
Chaldean (51111-UR) is another G1 winner at Newmarket. He had an outing at Newbury 22/04 when he unseated the rider. He was favourite in that race. His four wins as a two year old were over 7f so the mile should suit and so will good to fast going. He did win on soft going in a field of only three runners.
Royal Scotsman (413152) Finished a close second to Chaldean at G1 last season. His form line suggests that he prefers good going. Both of his wins came at 6f.

Aintree-Geskille selected to win the Grand Sefton Chase
GESKILLE has a lot going for him in Saturday’s Grand Sefton Chase at Aintree. He has an excellent form line of 1211. Most of his racing has been done in Europe but he has won in England; in fact he is unbeaten in the Uk. His wins were at Kempton and Ludlow. Today will be his first run for the season but he will be ready for this. LIFETIME AMBITION is worth considering. He finished 2nd in a Grade 1 Novice Chase at Punchestown in April.
