Rotorua Horse Racing Betting System

Rotorua Horse Racing Betting System

Here is a system for the Rotorua meeting this coming Saturday 11 May, 2024. Rotorua is a noted horses for courses track so you would expect trainers of past winners at Rotorua to target this meeting. I think the same thing will probably apply to the Chester Cup in England  meeting which starts on 8 May (UK time).

Rule one. Note all horses which have won at Rotorua

Rule two. Horse must have a career strike-rate of at least 20% wins to starts.

That’s it.

Here are some results from the past three years.

Hey Hey Baby career record 4-1-0-0 Course record 1-1-0-0 $5.00

Poser career record 15-3-1-1 Course record 3-1-0-0 $8.30

Raajoices career record 5-1-0-0 Course record 1-1-0-0 $4.40

Calipurna career record 25-5-1-2 Course record 5-4-0-0 $4.70

Pop Star Princess career record 36-8-9-2 Course record 5-1-2- $6.10

Supreme Heights career record 19-7-3-2 Course record 2-2-0-0 2nd $1.60

Pop Star Princess and Supreme Heights finished first and second in the 2021 Rotorua Stakes.

New Plymouth Horse Racing Betting System

Here is a simple horse racing system for this Saturday’s Taranaki meeting at New Plymouth. Simply note all of the Taranaki trained horses and back the one at the shortest price. This is a meeting which Taranaki trainers target and have dominated in recent years. Allan Sharrock and Robbie Patterson are the two leading Taranaki trainers. These two have the best strike-rate of any New Zealand trainer in the top ten.

Three Horse Racing Systems

The Third of Starts horse Racing Betting System

Here is a system which is worth following.

The rules are:

1. Winner of at least one third of its career races

2. Winner of at least three races

3. In the event of two or more qualifying horses in the same race then preference is for the one which has won most recently.

4. If there is still a tie then the one with the most wins in it’s last four races is the selection.

UK horse racing system

This is a system that eliminates those horses that have had their share of chances.

Note only current season’s form figures only.

Horses are judged by the number of wins and places they have gained during the current season.

1 start Second or third

2 starts at least one second

3 starts at least two places

4 starts at least two places

5 starts at least one win and two places

6 starts at least one win and two places

7 starts at least 4 places including two wins

8 starts at least 4 places including 2 wins

9+ starts Eliminate

This method helps to reduce the number of chances to a handful of runners.

The Most Favoured Harness System

Here is a simple system for harness racing. All you need is a panel of selections where the selection for first, second, and third are given.

A minimum of two selectors are required.

Step 1

Allocate points as follows:

3 points for each time the horse is selected to win

2 points for each time the horse is selected to finish second

1 point for each time the horse is selected to finish third.

Step 2

Allocate points for each horse’s last race finish

3 points for a win

2 points for a second

1 point for a third

Dunedin Cup Day Pointers

Dunedin Cup Day Pointers

It is Dunedin Cup day at Wingatui on Saturday; form from last Saturday’s Riccarton meeting and Gore Cup day the previous Saturday will be worth noting.

Beaten favourites from either meeting will be worth backing.

The favourites at Riccarton last Saturday were:

Race 1-Spot on Time (won)

Race 2-Mystic Park (2nd)

Race 3-Superbly Written (2nd)

Race 4-Aristocrat (2nd)

Race 5-Chapinteel (won)

Race 6-Sir Albert (won)

Race 7-Nortibutnice (2nd)

Race 8-The Radiant One (won)

Race 9-Bello Mio (2nd)

Well, it was one of those rare days when the favourite finished first or second in every race on the program. The Radiant One was a beaten favourite from Gore Cup day seven days earlier.

At Gore, the going was on the worse side of slow so there may be some horses that shown improvement on the form they showed that day.

Take note of horses who finished out of the first three and were at odds of $9 or less. Horses are not well-backed for nothing.

Female riders have a good record in the Dunedin Gold Cup, particularly those from the North Island.
