Provence the one to beat in Ellerslie’s Easter Handicap
PROVENCE is in the right kind of form to take out Saturday’s Easter Handicap at Ellerslie. She has won three of her last five races and finished a strong second last time out at Trentham. This will be her first race at 1600m but she finished strongly over 1400m at Trentham last time and that is a testing track. She has raced only eight times so there is a lot more in store from her. DEVASTATE might be the danger. He finished third first up 6/4 and will improve with the one. His chances will be improved by a wet track.
