Vilana’s class will tell in Doomben Sprint
The last two Doomben Sprint winners were at long odds but Vilana may prevail for the favourites in this year’s race. He ticks a lot of boxes. He will be second up this campaign after running second first up in the Hallmark Stakes at Randwick. Five of his seven wins have been first or second up. YELLOW BRICK, COCO JAMBO, and IRISH SONGS are three to watch. Yellow Brick was a handy three year old last year but has not recaptured that same form. Coco Jambo and Irish Songs are on the ballot but both have their claims if they can get back in. All four horses mentioned here are second up.
